Fun and Worry Free Vacation? Keep it Cheap and Safe!

Vacation time is hard to come by so when we go out and travel during this time we want to savour every minute and not waste a single second on trivial worries. We are here to share some guidelines to help keep your vacation fun meter always pointing on “Max”.

Hassle Free Travel

Once you get to your destination you need to familiarize yourself with the mode of transportation in that area. Nothing is worse than getting lost and wasting precious vacation time on finding your way back to your hotel. We recommend getting a rental, rental prices nowadays are now affordable and preferable over discovering what to ride and where to ride.  With you driving your rented vehicle it’s only a matter of reading the road map correctly and discovering the sights.
Choose your rental well, make sure the car you will pick is appropriate for your destination and the number of people in your group. NEVER overload, it is the perfect precedent to a disaster. Most car rentals are in tip top shape but it never hurts to double check, you’ll never know if they missed anything and it’s your safety that’s at stake. Here is a simple safety checklist for you, remember “BLOWBAG”

Know Where You Are and Where You are Going

Learn everything about your destination beforehand. Plan the route you’ll be taking to avoid getting lost, this helps save time and gas. If you are planning an exploration and expecting a long drive then you need to prepare well. In this high-tech age you can fit all your directional paraphernalia in a small bag. Make sure your road help apps is updated, but of course nothing beat a good old paper road map  A really advanced GPRS (general packet radio service) cannot hurt, it will give you the exact spots for gasoline stations, restaurants and even places to stay and visit in the destination town. Always remember that asking is not a crime, if you get confused along the way asking locals is still the best way to get around, they may even suggest destinations that your GPRS does not know.

Don’t be Ashamed to go Cheap

Cheap is good, it helps stretch your budget. Nothing is worse than running out of money while on vacation. So make sure you don’t spend $100 on something that you can get for $10. Research on affordable but good places to eat.  You don’t need to be in a 5 star hotel, you will only sleep there, as long as it’s clean and in a safe area its good. While on vacation you spend most of your time outside exploring so its best to invest in a reliable car rental to make sure your travel in town will be fun and hassle free. Choose wisely make sure you only deal with reliable rental companies, check them out online beforehand.
Have a Happy Trip!
